Spring Lake Boys Cross Country Concludes Season at State Finals with Owen Adams Earning All-State Honors The Spring Lake boys cross country team wrapped up a memorable season with a 20th-place finish out of 27 schools at the MHSAA Division 2 State Finals. Junior Owen Adams led the Lakers with a 25th-place finish in 15:58.1, earning all-state recognition for his outstanding performance. Freshman Dane Trask finished 121st in 16:52.7, while senior Lukus Mendoza crossed the line 140th in 16:58.6. Sophomore Isaac Vandlen ran 17:04.8 for 159th place, and senior Levi Vanderlaan finished 211th in 17:35.4. Junior Ryder Woodwyk ran 17:41.1 (221st), and sophomore Liam Tiles set a personal record of 17:48.3 (227th) to round out the team. Despite the challenging field, the Lakers capped the season with strong individual efforts and valuable experience gained on the state stage. With a regional championship and an all-state performance, Spring Lake’s boys cross country program continues to build momentum for the future.
