Spring Lake Shows Fight Against Zeeland East The Spring Lake varsity boys tennis team came up short against Zeeland East on Thursday, falling 6-2, but the Lakers earned several impressive victories and pushed their opponents in multiple close matches. One of the highlights came at No. 2 singles, where Alex Dull rallied after dropping the opening set to storm back with a 6-0, 6-2 finish and claim a three-set victory. At No. 3 doubles, Adam Ridlington and Alex Richards put together a strong performance of their own, earning a straight-set win, 6-4, 6-4. Even in defeat, several Lakers showed strong resilience. At No. 1 singles, Ethan Brown pushed his opponent to a second-set tiebreak before narrowly falling, while James Priddy battled through three sets at No. 3 singles after taking the opening set. Though the final score favored Zeeland East, the Lakers continued to demonstrate growth and determination across the lineup, giving themselves plenty of positives to build on moving forward in conference play.
