Spring Lake Claims 5-3 Victory Over Calvin Christian The Spring Lake boys tennis team continued its strong start to the season with a 5-3 win over Grandville Calvin Christian on Monday. The Lakers swept the singles flights to establish control of the match. At No. 1 singles, Ethan Brown battled through a close opening set before pulling away for a 6-4, 6-2 win. Alex Dull was dominant at No. 2 singles, earning a 6-0, 6-1 victory. James Priddy secured a straight-set win at No. 3 singles, 7-5, 6-3, while Isaac Schaal capped the sweep with a 6-4, 6-3 result at No. 4 singles. In doubles play, Spring Lake added an important point at No. 3, where Alex Richards and Adam Ridlington combined for a 6-1, 7-6 win. Despite strong efforts, the Lakers dropped close matches at the other doubles flights, including two that were decided in third-set tiebreakers. The victory showcased the consistency of Spring Lake’s singles lineup and their ability to compete in tight matches across the board.
