Lakers Open Home Season with 7-1 Win Over Sparta

The Spring Lake boys tennis team kicked off its home season in impressive fashion on Wednesday, earning a 7-1 victory over Sparta. The Lakers were strong across the lineup, taking three of four singles flights and sweeping all four doubles matches. At No. 2 singles, Alex Dull set the tone with a 6-1, 6-0 win, while Isaac Schaal was flawless at No. 4 singles, posting a 6-0, 6-0 result. At No. 3 singles, James Priddy showed resilience, storming back after dropping the opening set to earn a 2-6, 6-3, 10-2 comeback victory. In doubles play, Spring Lake showcased its depth and teamwork. The No. 1 pairing of Nate Pawlak and Matthew Truszkowski secured a 6-2, 6-3 win, while Gavin Tisdel and Isaac Hansen dominated at No. 2 doubles, 6-0, 6-1. At No. 3 doubles, Adam Ridlington and Alex Richards battled their way to a 6-4, 6-4 victory, and the No. 4 team of Pranay Patel and Joshua Ridlington closed the night with a hard-fought 6-1, 7-5 win. It was a strong start to the home schedule for the Lakers, who continue to build confidence early in the season.
