Varsity vs FOREST HILLS NORTHERN HIGH SCHOOL (12 - 3) Win The Spring Lake Lakers girls varsity lacrosse team defeated Forest Hills Northern on Monday by a score of 12-3. The Lakers got back to their winning ways by playing unselfish team offense and aggressive help defense. The Lakers assisted on 9 of 12 goals, with Micah Gawronski leading the lakers with 3 assists. Stafford Sieracki and Claire Arnold each also added 2 assists. Brooke Stephenson led the Lakers in goals with 3 while Casey Ireland, Aubrey Llewellyn, and Sophia Clark each added 2 goals. Arnold, Sieracki, and Gawronski each added single goals. Defensively the Lakers were led by the entire defensive unit while Elena Robinson was fantastic in net allowing only 3 goals and registering 6 saves. Next up for the Lakers is a home contest against Rockford on Wednesday.
