Varsity vs WESTERN MICHIGAN CHRISTIAN HIG Spring Lake defeated WMC 3-2 in a windstorm on Friday night. The first goal came off the boot of sophomore Aveya Patino. She finished a beautiful long ball from Senior defender Lauren Nicles. Senior Zoe Dull sent a bending ball over the head of a strong WMC keeper to score the Lakers second goal. She was assisted by a drop ball from Patino. The final goal on the night was finished by Patino who worked the ball into the back of the net off the service of Nicles. Junior center back Lucia Folkert was solid in the back line while sophomore outside mid Bailey Andree kept the pressure on all night.
