The Spring Lake Lakers traveled to West MIchigan Christian and set the tone with a great first quarter defensively that set the tone for the night. The Lakers led 17-5 after the first eight minutes and went on to win 51-41. With Spring Lake leading 32-17 at half and 39-33 after the third quarter, WMC kept fighting and cut the Spring Lake lead to four points with about three minutes to play. Jaden Core then scored 6 of his game high 24 points with three steals that led to uncontested lay ups and pushed Laker lead back to 10 points. Core finished with his 24 points, 4 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals. Reid Grimmer added 12 points, 4 assists and 3 blocks. Maddux Kipling chipped in with 5 points and 5 rebounds while Max Feltner had a team high 7 rebounds.
