Competitive Ski (Coed V) Scores

The Laker ski team had their second race of the season on Tuesday the 14th at Cannonsburg. The Laker’s raced against Grand Rapids Christian, Lowell (boys only), West Michigan Aviation Academy, and the Coop team formed by Cedar Springs, Greenville, and Kenowa Hills. The Laker girls placed 2nd in both the Slalom and Giant Slalom. Avery Kuhlman led the team with a 3rd place finish in the Slalom and 4th in the Giant Slalom. She was followed by Addy Maloney with a 9th in the Slalom and 6th in GS. For the rest of the Lakers; Brooklyn Verplank had a 12th in Slalom and a 7th in GS, Sadie VanderHeide was 10th in both events, and Isabelle Sandy was 11th in both events. The boys team finished 2nd in Giant Slalom and 3rd in Slalom. In Giant Slalom, the Lakers were led by Senior Hale Phillips in 7th place. He was closely followed by Drew Fox in 8th and Jack Laughlin in 10th. Thomas Redeker finished in 17th along with Eli Zuelke in 20th and Hudson Braak in 21st. Senior Jack Laughlin was the fastest Laker in the Slalom finishing tied for 7th. Fox and Phillips finished in 10th and 13th followed by Zuelke in 17th, Redeker in 21st. The Lakers have a busy week coming up with their first 2 full conference meets on Tuesday the 21st and Cannonsburg and on Friday the 24th at Schuss Mountain.
