The Spring Lake Lakers had to grind out a 50-46 victory at home over a very inspired and determined Zeeland West team. The Laker offense was sluggish early and the home team trailed 15-7 after the first quarter. A better second quarter and Spring Lake went into the locker room with a 22-20 lead. The Lakers built a 37-29 lead after three quarters and held on for the four point win. Reid Grimmer led the Spring Lake offense with 13 points, 5 Rebounds, 5 Assists and 4 steals followed by Jaden Core who had 11 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Jacob Ayers chipped in with 10 points while Maddux Kipling had 7 points and 7 rebounds. Head Coach Bill Core credited the play off the bench of Ethan Lisman, Max Feltner, Jacob Ayers and Landon O'Donnell who were in most of the second quarter when the Lakers erased an 8 point deficit and took the lead which they would never relinquish.
