Junior Varsity vs ZEELAND EAST HIGH SCHOOL The Spring Lake JV boys basketball battled Zeeland East but lost 65-56. The Lakers were down by 21 and cut the lead to 9 with a 1:30 to go but were not able to draw any closer. John Westhoff led the Lakers with 27 points and Jaxson Stegeman scored 11. Tyler Hardy led the team in rebounds with 10 and also contributed 7 points. Peter May had a fine game dishing out 6 assists and handling Zeeland Easts full court pressure all night long. Spring Lake is now 3-6 on the season and 0-2 in conference play.
