**Spring Lake Girls Varsity Golf Team Finishes Sixth at MHSAA Division 2 State Finals** The Spring Lake girls varsity golf team capped off an outstanding season with a strong sixth-place finish at the Michigan High School Athletic Association (MHSAA) Division 2 State Finals. Competing over two days at Grand Valley State University’s “The Meadows” golf course, the Lakers demonstrated their resilience and talent on one of the toughest stages of the year. Senior **Zoe Dull** delivered a remarkable performance, finishing 2nd individually with a two-day total of 146 (+2). Dull’s consistency was on full display, shooting back-to-back rounds of 73 (+1), solidifying her as one of the top competitors in the state and ending her high school golf career on a high note. Juniors **Finlay Cousineau** and **Reagan Bennett** both finished tied for 43rd, each posting a two-day total of 186 (+42). Cousineau shot rounds of 91 (+19) and 95 (+23), while Bennett scored 90 (+18) and 96 (+24) over the two days. Junior **Casey Ireland** and **Ellie Cavalier** rounded out the team’s scoring, finishing in 65th and 63rd places, respectively. Ireland finished with a two-day total of 197 (+53), shooting rounds of 98 (+26) and 99 (+27). Cavalier posted a total of 196 (+52), with rounds of 102 (+30) and 94 (+22). The Lakers' sixth-place finish at the state finals is a testament to their hard work, dedication, and team chemistry throughout the season. With Dull graduating, Spring Lake will look to its returning players to build on this success and continue to compete at a high level next year.
