Spring Lake Girls Varsity Golf Team Qualifies for State Finals with Third-Place Finish at Regionals

The Spring Lake girls varsity golf team earned a spot in the state finals after a strong third-place finish at the regional golf tournament. The Lakers' collective effort has qualified them for the MHSAA Division 2 State Finals, which will be held next Friday and Saturday at Grand Valley State University's "The Meadows" golf course. Senior Zoe Dull once again led the charge for Spring Lake, finishing 2nd individually with an impressive round of 78 (+6). Dull's consistent play and leadership have been vital throughout the season, and her performance at regionals was crucial to the team’s qualification for states. Sophomore Reagan Bennett also delivered a solid performance, shooting 93 (+21) to finish in 13th place, while junior Finlay Cousineau followed closely behind with a round of 95 (+23), securing 19th place overall. Junior Casey Ireland added a round of 102 (+30) to finish 33rd, and junior Ellie Cavalier completed the Lakers’ scoring with a round of 107 (+35), finishing 43rd. With their third-place finish, Spring Lake will now prepare for the highly anticipated state finals at "The Meadows." The Lakers will look to build on their regional success as they take on the best teams in the state in pursuit of a strong finish to their season.
