The Spring Lake boys varsity soccer team fell 1-0 to ninth-ranked Hudsonville Unity Christian in their final game of the regular season. Despite a strong defensive effort and six saves from goalkeeper Joey Schmidt, Spring Lake was unable to find the back of the net. The game remained scoreless through the first half, with Schmidt and the defense holding off Unity Christian’s attacks. Unity Christian broke the deadlock in the second half, scoring the game’s only goal to secure the win. Spring Lake showed resilience throughout the match, competing well against one of the state’s top teams as they head into the postseason with valuable experience.
