Laker Tennis wins big over North Muskegon

The Spring Lake varsity boys tennis team continued their strong run with a commanding 7-1 victory over North Muskegon. The Lakers’ depth and determination were on full display as they captured wins in both singles and doubles play. In singles, Veer Patel led the charge with a 6-2, 6-1 win over Kaden Bartolameolli at No. 2. Nate Pawlak and Alex Dull delivered identical 6-1, 6-1 victories at No. 3 and No. 4 singles, defeating Brody Oliveira and Luke Toebe, respectively. While Hudson Braak faced a tough opponent at No. 1, falling to Luke Hall 6-2, 6-3, the rest of the team stepped up to seal the overall win. Spring Lake’s doubles teams dominated the competition, taking all four matches. Kody Vis and Owen Malaski recovered from a first-set loss at No. 1 doubles to defeat Carter Mieler and Logan Stack 2-6, 6-2, 10-5. Drew Nash and Hale Phillips showcased their resilience at No. 2 doubles, edging out a 6-3, 5-7, 11-9 victory over Kylan Nielsen and Zach Rumley. The No. 3 doubles team of Ethan and Eddie Brown swept their match 6-0, 6-0, while Weston Carpenter and James Priddy closed out the day with a 6-2, 6-1 win at No. 4 doubles. With another impressive team effort, Spring Lake continues to build momentum as they head into the final stretch of the season.
