Boys cross country takes sixth in second league jamboree

The Spring Lake boys cross country team delivered a strong showing at the second OK Black Conference jamboree, securing a sixth-place finish. Senior Parker Woodwyk led the Lakers with a time of 16:41.77, placing 7th overall. Lukus Mendoza (17:29.35) and Nathan Koches (17:35.49) were not far behind, crossing the line in 20th and 25th place, respectively, showcasing the team’s competitive edge in a tough field. Freshman Isaac Vandlen continued to impress, finishing 41st with a time of 18:15.83, while senior Isaac Primm followed closely at 18:19.02 in 44th place. Notable performances also came from Levi Vanderlaan, who achieved a personal record of 18:37.37 for 49th place, and freshman Griffin Wenta, who crossed the line in 52nd place with an 18:40.53 finish. Other top contributors included Liam Tiles, who set a PR of 18:51.76, and Ryder Woodwyk with a time of 19:36.19.
