The Spring Lake girls varsity golf team secured a strong second-place finish at the Ludington Oriole Invitational, led by an exceptional performance from senior Zoe Dull. The Lakers' consistent play across the lineup allowed them to challenge the competition and once again demonstrate their strength as a team. Dull was the standout of the tournament, shooting a stellar 71 (-1) to claim the individual title. Her under-par round not only secured the top spot but also set the pace for her team’s impressive finish. Junior Ellie Cavalier turned in one of her best performances of the season, finishing in 11th place with a round of 92 (+20), while fellow junior Finlay Cousineau followed in 12th with a score of 93 (+21). Both Cavalier and Cousineau’s steady play helped keep the Lakers in contention for the team title. Sophomore Reagan Bennett added a round of 97 (+25) to finish 16th overall, and junior Casey Ireland shot 98 (+26), finishing in 21st place. Junior Anna Bonney rounded out the scoring with a 109 (+37), placing 33rd. Despite the narrow loss, Spring Lake’s second-place finish at the Ludington Oriole Invitational adds to their growing list of strong showings this season. With Dull continuing to lead the way and solid contributions from across the lineup, the Lakers remain one of the top teams in the region as they prepare for the final stretch of their season.
