Tennis falls in a tough league match versus Unity Christian

The Spring Lake boys varsity tennis team faced a tough challenge in their league matchup against Hudsonville Unity Christian, falling 7-1. Veer Patel delivered the lone win for Spring Lake, securing a hard-fought victory at No. 2 singles. Patel battled through a tight first set, winning a tiebreaker 7-6 (5) before pulling away for a 6-1 win in the second set. Despite strong efforts across the board, Spring Lake came up short in the other matches. Hudson Braak nearly claimed a win at No. 1 singles but ultimately fell 1-6, 6-4, 6-4. At No. 4 singles, Alex Dull also pushed his opponent to a tiebreaker in the first set but was edged out 7-6 (3), 6-3. In doubles play, all four Spring Lake pairs fought hard, with Drew Nash and Hale Phillips putting up a close battle at No. 2 doubles, but they fell 7-5, 7-6 (4).
