Lakers Tennis takes down Hamilton, 6-2

The Spring Lake boys varsity tennis team secured a solid 6-2 victory over OK Black division opponent Hamilton High School. In singles play, Veer Patel and Alex Dull led the way for Spring Lake, each earning wins for the team. Patel battled back in a hard-fought No. 2 singles match, claiming a 4-6, 7-5, 6-0 victory. Dull delivered a steady performance at No. 4 singles, winning 6-4, 6-2. Despite Hudson Braak and Nate Pawlak putting up strong efforts, they fell in their respective singles matches. In doubles, Spring Lake dominated, winning all four matches. Kody Vis and Owen Malaski clinched a 6-3, 7-5 win at No. 1 doubles, while Drew Nash and Hale Phillips followed with a 6-4, 6-2 victory at No. 2 doubles. Eddie and Ethan Brown continued the streak, winning 6-4, 6-2 at No. 3 doubles, and Weston Carpenter and James Priddy rounded out the day with a 7-5, 6-3 win at No. 4 doubles. The win strengthens Spring Lake’s position in the OK Black division as they look ahead to their next matches.
