The Spring Lake girls varsity golf team put forth another strong effort, finishing second at today’s league jamboree, falling just six strokes behind host Unity Christian. Despite the close defeat, the Lakers continued to showcase their depth and competitiveness throughout the event. Senior Zoe Dull once again led the charge for Spring Lake, firing an impressive even-par round of 35 to claim the top individual spot. Dull's consistent play has been a driving force behind the team’s success, and her performance today was no exception. Junior Casey Ireland followed up with a solid round of 44 (+9), securing 5th place individually. Fellow junior Finlay Cousineau added a 46 (+11), finishing 7th and further bolstering the Lakers' score. Sophomore Reagan Bennett shot a 52 (+17), finishing in 17th place, while junior Anna Bonney rounded out the team with a 53 (+18), placing 19th overall. Though they came up just short of Unity Christian, Spring Lake’s second-place finish keeps them firmly in the mix as they continue their season. The team’s balanced effort, led by Dull's stellar performance, is a testament to their resilience and determination as they look forward to the next competition. The Lakers will undoubtedly use this experience as motivation as they aim for another victory in future jamborees and tournaments.
