Laker boys tennis falls to Grand Haven

In a recent match against Grand Haven, the Spring Lake High School boys tennis team faced a challenging contest, ultimately falling 1-7. The Lakers showed competitive spirit but were unable to secure victories across most matchups. The standout performance for Spring Lake came from the No. 1 doubles team of Kody Vis and Owen Malaski, who earned a notable win with a score of 6-4, 6-3 against Grand Haven's Maddox Krugler and Parker Cramblet. In singles play, Hudson Braak, Veer Patel, Nate Pawlak, and Alex Dull all faced tough opponents, with Braak and Patel coming closest to victory but ultimately falling in straight sets. Braak was defeated by Malcolm Johnson, 6-0, 6-4, while Patel lost to Karter Schradin, 6-4, 6-3. The doubles teams of Drew Nash and Hale Phillips, Ethan and Eddie Brown, and Weston Carpenter and James Priddy also battled hard but were unable to secure additional points. Despite the challenging result, the Lakers’ performance highlighted their resilience and competitive spirit as they prepare for future matches.
