In game 2, the Lakers completed the sweep but had to come from behind in order to do so. Trailing 4-0 in the bottom of the fifth inning, Spring Lake cut the deficit in half by plating two runs. Will May had an RBI triple and scored on a Zane Stahl double. In the bottom of the sixth, Zach Schlepp broke a 4-4 tie with a two out two run homerun over the left field fence giving the home team a 6-4 victory. Ludington would not go down without a fight, as the first two batters reached base before a tremendous Will May double play ended the threat. May also got the last out as he fielded a hard hit ball and stepped on third base to end the game. Alex Strauss got his first varsity start going 4 innings and a no decision. Dayton Clark (1-0) earned the win in relief going 3 innings in his first pitching appearance of the year.
