Spring Lake walks off at home vs Fruitport to complete the three game sweep. In an eight inning affair the Lakers defeated the Trojans 6-5 defeating Fruitport for the third time this week by a one run margin. (2-1, 7-6, 6-5). "Baseball is a funny game and a bounce one way or the other can change the outcome when the games are this close. We feel very fortunate to win these three games." In the bottom of the 8th inning, Will May led off with a double puting the winning run on second base. After Owen Smies was intentionally walked to set up the force, Dayton Clark laid down a perfect sacrifice bunt advancing the winning run just 90 feet away. Alex Batka then hit a ground ball to shortstop and May was able to slide in for the winning run! May had three hits including two doubles, Zane Stahl had two hits and Owen Smies had two hits and 3 RBI's. Jaden Core came in relief, pitching the final 2 and 1/3 innings to get the win.
