The visiting Spring Lake Lakers were able to outlast the home team Holland Christian Maroons with a 4-2 ten inning victory! Gabe Trask doubled to lead off the game and scored on an error to give the Lakers an early lead. Holland Christian tied it in the bottom of the first with two infield hits and two Spring Lake errors. The Lakers retook the lead when Jaden Core singled and scored on an Oliver Smies double in the third. The Maroons tied it with an unearned run in the bottom of the sixth, their last runs of the game. Spring Lake plated the winning runs when Zane Stahl drove in two runs with a two run double in the 10th. Holland Christian put the tying runs on base in the bottom of the 10th, but Oliver Smies got a strikeout to end the game. It was a very impressive day for Zane Stahl as he not only drove in the winning runs but was outstanding on the mound. Stahl pitched 8 and 1/3 innings allowing 2 unearned runs, striking out 14, walking one and scattering 4 hits. Stahl got a no decision as Oliver Smies got the win pitching 1 2/3 innings in relief striking out 3. Trask had two hits and Core scored 2 runs to pace the offense. Owen Smies, Dayton Clark and Maddux Kipling each made big plays to lead the defense.
