Varsity vs Charlevoix High School Win The Spring Lake Lakers rode a dominant pitching performance by Zane Stahl (4-2) to a 3-0 victory over the Charlevoix Rayders (Ranked #9 in D3). Stahl allowed two hits and struck out 9 in the six inning game. The Lakers struck for 3 runs in the bottom of the fourth fueled by a two run single delivered by Alex Batka and an RBI single by Jaden Core. Batka, Core, Gabe Trask and Oliver Smies had singles for Spring Lake. Varsity vs PETOSKEY HIGH SCHOOL (6 - 1) Win The Lakers defeated the home town Petoskey Northmen (Ranked #13 in D2) in the Championship game 6-1. Starting pitcher Will May (4-1) 4 IP and reliever Oliver Smies 3 IP, combined to scatter 4 hits and strikeout 10. Gabe Trask had three hits to lead the offense, while May and Dayton Clark each chipped in with two hits a piece.
