Junior Varsity vs EAST GRAND RAPIDS HIGH SCHOOL (4 - 3) Win Your JV Lady Lakers improved to 3-0 in conference and 5-1 overall with a tough 4-3 home victory over the Pioneers of East Grand Rapids on Monday. The Lakers were down 3-1 with 4 minutes left but rallied to pull out the win. The Lakers were led today by goalie Elana Robinson and the entire defense. Their tough play and key stops kept the Lakers hanging in until the offense stepped up in the final quarter. The Lakers got goals from four different players. Abbey Rogalski, Mallory Martinez, Casey Ireland, and Reagan Bennett were the goal scorers. The final goal by Reagan was scored with no time left on the clock. She calmly lined up the final shot and sank it into the back of the net, which sent the Laker fans home happy. Next up for the Lakers is a home game on Wednesday against Forest Hills Central. Game time is 5:30.
