Varsity vs WEST OTTAWA HIGH SCHOOL (8 - 2) Win The varsity squad hosted the West Ottawa Panthers tonight to open their conference schedule and came away with an 8-2 victory. The Lakers opened up the scoring in the 1st quarter and took a 3-2 lead into halftime. The defensive battle continued in the 3rd quarter with the Lakers scoring the lone goal to head into the 4th up 4-2. The Laker offense opened things up in the 4th and doubled their tallies and cruised to an 8-2 victory. Landon O'Donnell led the team with 3 goals, captain Sam Schafer had two goals, Gage Isard, Jack Brown and Evan Wahl all had one goal on the evening. Oscar Anderson controlled the faceoff X by winning 9 of 13 draws. Brody Boodt kept the Panther offense at bay making a number of incredible saves. The win brings the Lakers to 2-1 on the season and 1-0 in the conference. The Lakers host the Buccaneers on Thursday at 7:00pm.
