Wow what a great weekend of some amazing fast swimming at the 2024HS Boys State Swimming Championships D3! 🎉🏊‍♂️ Holland Aquatic Center The Spring Lake Lakers swim to a strong 8th-place finish out of 51 Teams!!! The Lakers moved up eight spots from last year’s 2023 State Meet. The Team swam to six more PRs for a two-day total of 19 Personal Record Swims. Six All-State Swimmers and brought home a few medals along the way! One of the big highlights of the meet was the 200 Free Relay of Noah Fletcher-Kyle Eacker-Ryan Fisher and Johnny Wachter taking second place with a best time of 1:26.77 and earning All-State Honors! I am very proud of these nine young gentlemen. Their hard work and dedication to get to the state finals was amazing. The scoreboard doesn’t show the sportsmanship, teamwork, and great character these young men showed this weekend and the season. It has been a pleasure and an honor to coach alongside with Brian Porter coaching these young men towards their goals and seeing this success along the way. A few shoutouts of thank you to Sara Strauss for helping Coach Brian, and myself on the deck with the splits and motivating the guys.
