Spring Lake won their third district championship in the last 5 years with a convincing 55-17 victory over Fruitport in the District 41 Final on Friday, March 8. Spring Lake's defense set the tone for the night early by holding Fruitport to 2 points in the first quarter and then 4 points in the second quarter. The Laker's took a 30-6 lead into halftime and then a 19-7 3rd quarter put the game away for good. Spring Lake was led by Ella Andree's new career high 24 points along with 8 rebounds. Ellie Wrona added 12 points, while Alexa Carter had 8 points and 10 rebounds. Brianna Kirby chipped in 6 points while Brooke Bolthouse and Clara Saunders spearheaded the defensive effort. Fruitport, who finished the season 7-18 overall, was led by Ash Olson with 7 points and Rhiannon Raleigh with 6 points.
