Spring Lake started their tournament run with a convincing 54-22 victory over Whitehall in the District 41 Semifinals at Fruitport. The Lakers jumped out to a 12-0 start and never looked back. The Lakers got solid team effort on both sides of the court. Defensively, Brooke Bolthouse and Clara Saunders did a great job marking the Vikings leading scorers, while Ella Andree, Alexa Carter and Tessa Britt cleaned up the boards with 6 rebounds apiece. Bolthouse also added 4 steals. On the offensive side, Andree and Bolthouse each had 15 points, Ellie Wrona chipped in with 8 points, and Carter and Saunders added 6 points each. Tessa Britt had 2 points and Anna Hyde hit a driving layup to finish the scoring for the Lakers. Whitehall, who finished 10-14 on the season, were led by Lexi Daggett with 12 points.
