Spring Lake Girls Varsity Basketball vs UNITY CHRISTIAN (50 - 20) Win On Senior Night and the final OK Blue contest of the season, Spring Lake took a convincing 50-20 win over Hudsonville Unity Christian.  With one game separating the two teams in the conference standings, the Lakers made sure they finished 3rd all alone. Spring Lake started their 5 seniors - Anna Hyde, Alexa Carter, Clara Saunders, Brooke Bolthouse, and Ella Andree - who immediately set the tone for a stellar defensive night.  The Lakers got 16 points from Carter, 13 points from Andree, and 6 points from Bolthouse.  Nia Theune had a great effort off the bench with 7 points as well. This group of seniors is a special group and will be sorely missed next year.  But they are not interested in this season coming to an end yet, as the Lakers will host Zeeland West on Thursday, Feb 29 before heading to the district tournament the following week. Unity Christian 11-9 overall (7-7 4th in OK Blue) was led by Addison Pell and Maleya Obande with 6 points each. Spring Lake is 14-6 overall (9-5 3rd in OK Blue).
