2-13-24Hamilton Hamilton(D3 #9) 89S pringLake (D3 #10) 96 Allegan 23 SpringLake (D3 #10) 134 Spring Lake Record (Overall 9-4 OK Rainbow 4-2) At Hamiltonin the last Dual Swim Meet of the season before the OK Rainbow T1 ConferenceMeet we saw a good battle between the D3 #10 Ranked Lakers battle the D3 #9 RankedHawks of Hamilton and the Allegan Tigers. Despite swimming down six swimmers due to mid-winter Break and illness the Lakers swim to two big Team Wins to end the annual meet season. The Lakers were led by 100 Breast State Qualifiers Alex Strauss 1:05.73, Fischer Halsey 1:05.81, and Diving Regional Qualifier Sean Nenis. Also leading the Lakers to victory were doubleWinners Johnny Wachter 50 Free 21.74 /100 Fly 52.23 and Noah Fletcher taking the 200 Free at 1:49.35 and the 500 Free at 5:02.45. Other First Place finishes came from Ryan Fisher 100 Free at 52.37 and Alex Strauss in the 100 Breast at 1:05.73 with a new state Cut Time! The Lakers also won the 200 Medley Relay at 1:44.17 (Ryan Fisher-Nathan Navarre-Johnny Wachter-Kyle Eackerand the 200 Free Relay at 1:33.33 (Kyle Eacker-Noah Fletcher-Ryan Fisher-JohnnyWachter). The Laker's depth and next-man-up attitude help the team come out on top in the battle of StateRanked teams. The win gives them a little more motivation going into next week's Rainbow T1 Conference Meet. I am very proud of the guys for pushing through whatever obstacle they were facing and stepping up for the TEAM!!! Great Job Gentleman!
