Spring Lake Girls Varsity vs Holland Christian Schools (48 - 58) Loss In a battle for second place in the OK Blue, Spring Lake and Holland Christian played each other tough throughout as the Maroons pulled away late for a 58-48 victory. Spring Lake jumped out to a 19-14 lead after the first quarter. The second quarter was a defensive battle by both teams until Camryn VandenBosch hit a 3 at the buzzer to send the Maroons to the locker room up 26-25. The third quarter ended the same way as both teams were tied at 41-41 as VandenBosch hit another 3 at the buzzer to give Holland Christian a 44-41 lead heading into the 4th quarter. The final quarter saw the Lakers miss a couple opportunities early, while the Maroons made a couple opportunities early to extend the lead and then secure the final scoring from the free throw line. The Lakers were led by Ella Andree with 12 points, 5 assists, and 4 steals. Ellie Wrona added 10 points, Alexa Carter and Brooke Bolthouse had 8 points each, with Tessa Britt chipping in 6 points and Brianna Kirby with 4 points. Holland Christian 13-4 overall (8-3 OK Blue) was led by Camryn VandenBosch with 18 points. Spring Lake 12-5 overall (7-4 OK Blue) will head to West Catholic on Friday.
