Fremont 20 Spring Lake Record (Overall 3-3 OK Rainbow 0-1) Wow after two weeks of good tough training and dealing with Mother Nature canceling meets the Lakers finally got the chance to Unleash the Beast on Saturday at the D3 Invite. The Lakers Unleash the Beast on a great day of swimming. The Lakers swam to a strong 4th place finish against some Strong D3 Schools. The Team Swam/Dove to 63 Personal Record Swims/Dives. The Lakes swam to 88% Individual PRs/SB and 81% Relay Splits PRs/SB. The Team also swam to 7 new or improved D3 State Meet or MISCA cuts! The Lakers also brought several Top 8 Finishes (Medals)! Leading the way for the Lakers was Senior Johnny Wachter winning both the 50 Free (21.60) and 100 Free (47.54) and teaming up with Kyle Eacker-Matt Daudelin-Noah Fletcher to win the 200 Free Relay with a new D3 State /MISCA Cut 1:30.32. Noah Fletcher was second in the 50 Free (26.62) and third in the 100 Free (48.64) both with a D3 State / MISCA Cut. Alex Strauss also made a D3 State / MISCA cut with his 5th Place Finish in the 100 Breast (1:05.81) Overall, it was a great day in the pool for everyone. It was great to see our improvement not only in the time drops but also seeing us improve on starts, turns, techniques, and with more positive energy in all our races. To see guys smile, cheer, and high each other was awesome. It was also great to see swimmers’ steps and try new events or ask to swim some of the tougher events. Shout to Freshman Sam Otter who swam his first-ever 200 IM and then swam a PR for a relay split. Congratulations gentlemen on a great swim meet. It was a total TEAM success today!!!!! Coaches are very PROUD of all of you!!! Keep the Positive Energy going and keep on working hard towards those goals!!!
