The Spring Lake Lakers went 2-0 in the Grand Haven Lake Michigan Cup Basketball Tournament for the first time since its conception in 2017. After defeating Traverse City St. Francis last night 54-32, the Lakers beat Petoskey 46-45 today. A Spring Lake stone cold second quarter allowed the Northmen to take a seven point lead into the halftime break. The Lakers rallied in the third quarter to tie the game entering the fourth and final quarter before pulling out the one point victory! Zach Schlepp led a balanced scoring attack with 11 points, followed by Colin Burt with 10 and Eli Morrison with 9. Karson George and Ayden Ayers added 7 and 5 points respectively.
