Spring Lake Girls Varsity vs GRAND HAVEN (21 - 42) Lost Spring Lake hosted Grand Haven in the Drawbridge Classic Friday night. The Bucs started fast and jumped out to a 20-4 lead at the end of the first quarter. The Lakers then battled to a 17-22 effort over the next three quarters, as Grand Haven eventually came out on top with a 42-21 victory. The Lakers were led by Ella Andree and Ellie Wrona with 6 points each. Brianna Kirby and Bethany Zimmerman gave the Lakers some solid defensive minutes tonight. Grand Haven (7-0) was led by Gillian Sorrelle and Emerson Berndt with 11 points each. Spring Lake heads into the Holiday Break at 4-1 overall and will host Fruitport on Friday, January 5 at 7:30 pm.
