Spring Lake Varsity Girls vs Reeths-Puffer (42 - 33) Win Spring Lake headed to Reeths-Puffer for their third straight road game to open the season and returned with their third straight victory. Solid defense by the Lakers in the first half - including holding the Rockets Brooklyn Townes to only 4 points - had Spring Lake up 23-14 at half. But Townes came out of the locker scoring 12 points in the 3rd quarter to put Reeths-Puffer back into the game. The Lakers did just enough on offense to maintain a 33-28 lead heading into the 4th quarter, where they finished off the 42-35 victory. Spring Lake was led by Ella Andree with 11 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 steals. The Lakers inside game was the difference tonight with Tessa Britt leading the way with 9 points and 9 rebounds, while Alexa Carter had 6 points and 5 rebounds. Brooke Bolthouse had 6 points, and Clara Saunders and Nia Theune each chipped in 4 points. Brooklyn Townes finished with 21 points for the Rockets (0-2). Spring Lake is now 3-0 on the season.
