Tonight the JV Volleyball team traveled to Grand Haven for a Tri. The Lakers had an excellent night of play and came home with a 2-0 record on the night. We beat Mona Shores in 3 sets with the scores of 25-22, 20-25, 15-10 and then beat host Grand Haven in 2 sets with the scores of 25-18, 25-15. The entire team played very well tonight and it took all 13 players to get the 2 match wins this evening. We were led offensively at the net by Lillie Kane with 16 kills. Gwen Adams had 15 kills and Hannah Beecham and Sierra Lukas each had 6 kills. Defensively we were led by Madelyn Wolfinbarger and Lillie Kane with 17 digs each. Avery Turbett also had 15 digs on the night. Our net play was strong and our blocking took both teams out of their games. Mila Crabtree led the team with 6 blocks while Gwen Adams and Lillie Kane each added 4 blocks each. Ellee Kline led the team in assists with 27 and Kellen Armey had 8 assists. Our overall record is now 5-5-1 and we are 0-3 in the OK Conference. Our next match is at home on Tuesday, September 15th vs Unity Christian @ 5pm.
