The SLMS XC teams delivered a stellar performance at the Fremont invitational. Both teams finished second with the girls team score of 66 and a boys team score of 59 on a challenging 2-mile course featuring hay bales that added an unexpected obstacle to the race. LAKER LADIES Leading the Lakers was sixth-grader Audrey Shields, placing third overall with a time of 13:59. Close behind was eighth-grader Evie McCormick, who secured fifth place in 14:35. Spring Lake's front five was rounded out with seventh-grader Anna Wierzbicki placing 11th in 15:31, seventh-grader Breeze Hunt securing 18th place in 15:45 and seventh-grader Isabelle Mastenbrook finishing in 33rd place in 16:44.
