**Lakers Girls Golf Opens Season at Sydney Carfine Memorial Tournament** The Spring Lake Lakers girls varsity golf team kicked off their season at The Meadows Golf Course in the Sydney Carfine Memorial team stroke play tournament, hosted by Jenison High School. Competing in a strong 13-team field packed with Division 1 and Division 2 programs, Head Coach Dan Start's squad secured a 9th-place team finish with a score of 406 (+118). Byron Center took first place in the tournament with a total score of 339. Senior Reagan Bennett led the way on the scorecard for Spring Lake, pacing the team with a round of 92 (+20) to earn 12th place overall.
