The Spring Lake Lakers won the District Championship for the third time in the past four years, defeating the Fruitport Trojans 2-0 in an outstanding District Championship game. Maddux Kipling was the wining pitcher going the distance throwing a complete game shutout scattering 6 hits and striking out 10. The Trojans loaded the bases with two outs in the 7th inning only to see Kipling get a strikeout to end the game. The Lakers broke a 0-0 tie in the bottom of the 4th inning when Noah Sanders and Peter May drew back to back walks before Mason Troyer singled, scoring Sanders for a 1-0 lead. Owen Smies hit a solo homerun in the bottom of the 5th inning to close out the scoring. Max Feltner had 2 hits for Spring Lake.
