Varsity vs BYRON CENTER HIGH SCHOOL (11 - 6) Win The Spring Lake girls varsity lacrosse team opened up their playoff schedule with a 11-6 victory over the Byron Center Bulldogs on Thursday evening. Leading the Lakers in scoring was Aubrey Llewellyn and Micah Gawronski with 3 goals and an assist each. Ava Lisman added 2 goals while Charlotte Murphy, Abbey Rogalski, and Sierra Lukas each added a goal. Lukas also added 2 assists while Brooke Stephenson and Marley Marine each added an assist. Charlie VanHarken, Abbey Kozal, and Emily Riemersma all were stellar on the defensive end. Elena Robinson has an outstanding game in goal, making multiple game changing stops. Next up for the Lakers is a regional semi final game against Mattawan on Tuesday at East Grand Rapids. Game time is 7:30.
