In the last home varsity baseball game at the historic Hickman Field, the Spring Lake Lakers won 10-0 with a walk off 5 inning mercy over the Zeeland West Dux. Spring Lake will start playing next year on their new turf field which will be located on the Spring Lake High School campus and will be named, "Hickman Field" after longtime Athletic Director and retired Head Baseball Coach, Tom Hickman. The Lakers also celebrated Senior night today and saw 11 seniors play their last home game of the year. Maddux Kipling was dominate on the mound finishing the 5 Inning shutout with 13 strikeouts, 4 hits and no walks. Nine different Lakers got hits on the night led by Noah Sanders who had 3 hits/2 runs, Alex Strauss had two hits, Oliver Smies had 2 hits including a double and a homerun, Mason Troyer had a hit/2runs and 2 RBI's. Max Feltner had a hit and 2 RBI's and Ryan Fine got the walk off single to drive in the mercy run.
