Varsity vs BYRON CENTER HIGH SCHOOL (14 - 9) The Spring Lake Girls Lacrosse team took on Byron Center Friday evening and pulled out a 14-9 victory on Senior Night. The Lakers started slow but got the offense going in the second half. Leading the Lakers in scoring was Ava Lisman and Micah Gawronski with 4 goals and an assist each. Sierra Lukas added 2 goals and 3 assists. Aubrey Llewellyn added 2 goals while Brooke Stephenson and Charlotte Murphy each added a goal. Leading the Lakers on defense was Emily Riemersma, Abbi Kozal, Alexa White, and Abbey Rogalski, who had a strong two way game at midfield. "These six seniors (Rogalski, Kozal, Llewellyn, White, Riemersma, and Stephenson) have meant so much for our program, said Coach David Parsons. I couldn't have asked for a better group of amazing student athletes to lead us this season. They have been everything a coach could want and more. " Next up for the Lakers is a home game against Rockford on Monday. Game starts at 7pm.
