Varsity vs Catholic Central High School (8 - 6) Win The Lady Laker varsity lacrosse team hosted Grand Rapids Catholic Central on Monday and came away with an 8-6 victory. In what was a very tight game throughout, the Lakers were able to make the offensive and defensive plays when it mattered. "That was a very physical and tiring game, "said Coach David Parsons. "We are really starting to see our depth and conditioning pay off". Leading the Lakers in goals was Charlotte Murphy with 3. Brooke Stephenson, Ava Lisman, Aubrey Llewellyn, Abbey Rogalski, and Calla Barber each chipped in with a goal. Micah Gawronski led the team with 5 assists and helped control the offense down the stretch. Elena Robinson was fantastic in goal making key save after key save. Next up for the Lakers is a road game at Forest Hills Central on Wednesday.
