The Spring Lake Lakers competed the three game sweep over the Holland Christian Maroons with a 19-3 5 inning win. Rian Bates had a big night with 3 hits (a single, a double and a triple) and drove in 5 runs. Alex Strauss had 3 hits, scored 3 runs and had 3 RBI's. Noah Sanders continued his hitting hot streak with 3 more hits and scored 3 times. AND Oliver Smies belted 2 homeruns in the same inning! Smies hit a solo homerun to lead off the 5th inning and then added a 3-run homer during his second at bat of the inning, Smies would finish the game with 2 homeruns, 4 RBI's and 3 runs scored. Sophomore Peter May got his first career varsity win on the mound for Spring Lake.
