The Spring Lake Lakers pulled off a miracle finish defeating the Covenant Christian Chargers 58-57 on a Jack Brown three pointer at the buzzer! With about 4 minutes to play Spring Lake trailed by 10 points but the Lakers cut into the deficit and trailed by 5 points with 15.4 seconds to play. Landon O'Donnell made a corner three pointer and Spring Lake called timeout trailing 57-55 with 6.7 seconds to play. Ayden Ayers stole the inbounds and passed to Maddux Kipling who was fouled with 1.5 seconds remaining. Kipling missed the first free-throw leaving the Lakers with one choice, have Kipling miss the second free-throw on purpose and hope for a miracle. Kipling executed a perfect miss that bounced on one hop to Brown who was behind the arc, and he shot it immediately nailing the game winning three pointer at the buzzer and the miracle was answered! Ayden Ayers finished with a game high 17 points and 7 assists followed by Max Feltner who had 15 points and 8 rebounds. Brown finished with 9 points and 4 assists and a shot he will remember forever!
