Varsity vs Hart High School (50 - 38) Win Spring Lake Varsity girls basketball earned a strong 50-38 win over Hart on Monday night. The Lakers came out aggressive and focused, setting the tone early with a dominant first quarter. Spring Lake jumped out to a 16-9 lead by the end of the first, field by defensive intensity and efficient offense. Hart responded in the second quarter, setting into the game and cutting into the lead. At halftime, the Lakers held a narrow 23-19 advantage after a competitive second frame. The second half was a back and fort battle, but Spring Lake maintained its composure and gradually pulled away down the stretch. The Lakers' ability to execute late and convert at the free throw line helped secure the win. Leading the way was Alex Botbyl with 24 points, going an impressive 8 for 9 from the free throw line. Lexi Baker added 9 points and Kloe George contributed 8 points to round out the Lakers's top scorers.
