Lakers Swim/Dive Tough in win over Hamilton 103-74

Varsity vs HAMILTON HIGH SCHOOL (103 - 74) Win The Spring Lake HS Boys Swim /Dive Team ended the week on a strong note with a convincing win over Hamilton, 103-74. The Win improves the Lakers' record to 10-0 Overall and 4-0 in the OK Lakeshore, with one dual meet remaining next week against Holland. Tonight’s Win was again a strong showing of the Lakers Team depth and strength. The Lakers won 9 of 12 events against Hamilton and all three Relay Events. Lakers Swam to 14 Personal Records. The Lakers' strength was shown in the 200 Free, 50 Free, and 100 Back, where they went 1-2-3. Leading the way for the Lakers was Senior Team Captain Alex Strauss, winning the 100 Free in a D3 State Qualifying Time of 51.25, and then helping lead off the 400 Free Relay with a new State Cut time of 50.43. Alex joined teammates Lucas Williams-Russell, Cherney-Graham, and Porter in the 200 Free Relay with a new Season Best Time 1:31.05, and the 400 Free Relay, Alex Strauss, Kevin Dahl, Russell Cherney, and Dane Trask 3:22.87. Laker Double Winners were Sophomore Arthur Fletcher, winning the 200IM 2:10.81 and 500 Free 5:11.99, and Freshman Dane Trask won the 200 Free 1:52.51 and the 100 Back 53.04. Also placing first place was Junior Graham Porter in the 50 Free, 22.61. Graham teamed up with Dane Trask-Alex Strauss-Tyler Nutt in the 200 Medley Relay 1:39.67.
