Varsity vs Holland Christian Schools (34 - 38) Loss Spring Lake Falls Short in Defensive Battle at Holland Civic Center Holland, MI – January 2, 2026 The Spring Lake Lakers traveled to the Holland Civic Center for a tough matchup against Holland Christian and came up just short in a defensive struggle, falling 34–38. From the opening tip, the game was a grind, with both teams battling for every possession. The first quarter set the tone, ending in a low-scoring affair that highlighted the intensity on both ends of the floor. Lexi Baker led the Lakers with 11 points, while Alex Botbyl added 7, providing key contributions in a game where every basket mattered. Despite the loss, Spring Lake showcased resilience and toughness, keeping Holland Christian’s offense in check throughout the contest. Coach Cori Geoghan praised her team’s effort: “We showed a lot of toughness and grit. I am proud of our defensive intensity and how we competed to win every possession.
