Freshman vs WEST OTTAWA HIGH SCHOOL (31 - 25) Win The freshman Lady Lakers improved to 2-0 on the season with a 31-25 win over the Holland West Ottawa Panthers on Tuesday evening. The Lakers had very balanced scoring with 7 players adding points. Izzy Christian and Henley Jonker led the team with 6 points each. Sierra Lukas added 5 points while Kenz Jones, Alya Jonker, and Ava Cabala added 4 points each. AnnaLee Zimmer rounded out the scoring with 2 points. Christian and Lukas each added 7 rebounds each to lead the Lakers. Ashlee Britton led the Lakers on defense and her strong post defense was a huge key in the win. Ava Martin and Anja Gesell also played well on defense. Next up for the Lakers is a home game against our cross town rivals Grand Haven on Thursday. Tip off is 5:30.
